What kind of expertise exists in Kajla Janakalyan Samity?

Formation, nurturing and strengthening of Child Protection Committees from village to Block level. Networking, Advocacy and Collaboration with NGOs, CBOs, PRIs, respective govt. officials with regards to developing safety net, addressing child protection issues, restoration and rehabilitation, ensuring protection to children in need of care and protection. Awareness & sensitization for reducing child labour & child domestic worker, Child trafficking, child abuse, and child marriage.

What are we doing with stakeholders?

Accredited member of the National Child Labour Society post selection by the Govt. of India. KJKS is a member of CHILD LINE advisory committee of Purba Medinipur District. The West Bengal State Government has nominated the Organization’s Head as a member of the Child Welfare Committee, Purba Medinipur District under Juvenile Justice Act. Kajla Janakalyan Samity is a nodal organization to form Village level Child Protection Committee and Block Level Child Protection committee under Integrated Child Protection Schemes of Government and also Kajla Janakalyan Samity has been selected as district level trainer for providing training to the members of VLCPC and BLCPC under ICPS.

Kajla Janakalyan Samity carries out regular Advocacy and Networking with the Police, people in the Judiciary, Administration and Governance. Kajla Janakalyan Samity is running a Children’s Home for the children in need of care and protection under Juvenile Justice Act 2000.
